Nonprescription Medication Abuse More Common Than Perceived

An article in Medical News Today discusses what recent studies indicate... that nonprescription (over the counter) medication abuse is actually a lot more common than you might think. The most common medications that were abused were sleep aids, non opioid pain relievers (ibuprofen), acetaminophen and the newly created "bath salts".

This is why it is so important to have a good working relationship with your local pharmacist. Our pharmacists at Medicine Store are always available to talk with you about over-the-counter medications. They can look at your prescription profile to make sure there would be no interactions with your nonprescription medications. You can also consult with our pharmacists to make sure that you are taking any nonprescription or over-the-counter medication properly.

"Because I am blind, I appreciate how you are always willing to make everything easier for me. Your delivery driver goes out of his way to help me out. Your staff not only helps me physically but you also take care of me mentally. I know that I will always receive genuine care. I can hear it in your voices."Charlotte T.
