Nonprescription Medication Abuse More Common Than Perceived

An article in Medical News Today discusses what recent studies indicate... that nonprescription (over the counter) medication abuse is actually a lot more common than you might think. The most common medications that were abused were sleep aids, non opioid pain relievers (ibuprofen), acetaminophen and the newly created "bath salts".

This is why it is so important to have a good working relationship with your local pharmacist. Our pharmacists at Medicine Store are always available to talk with you about over-the-counter medications. They can look at your prescription profile to make sure there would be no interactions with your nonprescription medications. You can also consult with our pharmacists to make sure that you are taking any nonprescription or over-the-counter medication properly.

"Medicine Store Pharmacy is the best pharmacy we have ever used. They are very prompt… no waiting. The pharmacists and staff are the best ever. We have used them for years and have never had a problem. We are moving out of state and will really miss all of them."Claude R.
